Confronting Black-Asian Narratives in Mass Incarceration. A short documentary film exposing how racially divisive myths targeted at AAPI and Black Americans are propping up the mass incarceration prison industrial complex: the Model Minority Myth, Anti-Black ideations of criminality (the impact of the historical effort to control Black people on the current definitions of crime), the weaponization of Black-Asian conflict to distract and divide. All as told through the eyes of a bi-racial quad of young scholars.
